Aim and Scope
This workshop welcomes contributions that address the identification of obstacles, challenges and solutions towards inclusion of a high degree of renewable generation in the electricity distribution grid. Furthermore, also novel disruptive approaches, both technically and from a market perspective, for a future energy distribution system based on close to 100% renewable generation are welcome. The workshop therefore covers the following challenges that arise in both evolutionary and disruptive processes to accommodate the highly degree of renewables.
Topics
- Grid monitoring and grid observability applications that support renewable integration
- Data driven distribution grid modeling and planning in the presence of high renewable generation
- Distribution grid control coordination for increased hosting capacity
- ICT platforms for data access and control of distribution grids
- Privacy and security, including legislations and impact of legislations
- Assessment and evaluation methodologies of intelligent distribution grids
- Experiences from field trials and laboratory setups
- Market aspects and role of ICT on new energy market opportunities
- Market concepts for renewable integration based on real-time measurements, e.g. regional energy products based on physical energy flows
- User-involvement for renewable integration and future energy products
- Tools and validation approaches involving end customers
- Cross-sector aspects of ICT-enabled renewable integration (electricity-heat, electricity-mobility, etc.)
